Congratulations to Saving One Who Was Dead by Václav Kadrnka which has won this year’s Best Film Award at CaSFFA 2022. This stunning film heartbreakingly captures a sense of loss and sadness. Presented in portrait format, the styling of the film is beautiful in its repetition, encapsulating the clinical and uniform setting. This film stood out with its ability to convey so much to the audience with such limited dialogue. As this film comes to a close, you will long be reflecting on your own experiences with love and loss.
